Alp İşmen graduated from the College of Applied Fine Arts (which later became part of Marmara University) in 1984. One of his etchings was displayed at the 5th Günümüz Sanatçıları (Modern-Day Artists) exhibition. Even though he was educated in printmaking, he has spent his life working in graphic design. In 2003, he attended the Bu Sergi Aileye Mahsustur group exhibition at Karşı Sanat. İşmen’s work was exhibited at the Kâğıt (Paper) exhibition, which took place at Contemporary Istanbul in 2017, and at Pilevneli Project in 2019. The artist, whose work appears in many collections, also attended Daire Sanat’s Open Studio Program in 2019.
