Education
İstanbul University-Italian Literature
He started producing photography when he was 28; worked as a photojournalist for 140journos SO (2015 - 2018) and photographed house concerts of İstanbul for Sofar Sounds (2015 - 2018). His work focuses on İstanbul, using documentary and street photography approaches, he creates stories about his city and himself through psychogeography.
His work has been featured in publications such as British Journal of Photography (2022), WePresent (2022), Fisheye Magazine (2022), İstanbulArtNews (2019), L'Œil de la Photographie (2017), GUP Magazine (2017), among many others.
His work has been exhibited at ‘Zamane İstanbulları’, Pera Museum, İstanbul (2022), ‘Unutursan Darılmam’ (I Won’t Be Upset If You Forget Me), Encontros da Imagem, Braga (2022) and ‘A Pillar of Smoke’, Les Rencontres d’Arles / Jimei x Arles International Photography Festival, Xiamen / Galerie Paris-B, Paris (2018), among many other exhibitions in Turkey, notably at Mamut Art Project (2022).
He was selected as the winner of Encontros da Imagem’s Discovery Awards (2022), a nominee of Leica Oskar Barnack Award (2022), recipient of the 1st place in Fotoistanbul’s competition (Street photography category, 2022), and got shortlisted in 212 Photography İstanbul’s competition (2021).
His first photobook, Şehir Fikri (Notion of a City), was published by Onagöre in December 2022.
