Force Quit
Ozan Atalan
12.09.2020- 31.10.2020
Mixer is hosting the fourth solo exhibition of the artist Ozan Atalan, "Force Quit", which offers speculative experiences through multimedia installations between 12 September - 31 October 2020.
The exhibition criticizes the human centric approach and the world's divisive-dualist interpretation, which legitimizes the idea of destruction of mankind and nonhuman beings, including nature and space. He makes this critisizm by specifying the dualities like the digital-physical, organic-industrial, body-spirit, raw material-transformation, duality of human-non-existence by creating alternative life spaces through putting the works in the exhibition in a common life form. He interprets the duality of human-nature in an integrative way without establishing a hierarchical connection between them and examines the sense of alienation of human, nature and his existential concerns through the synthesis of a personal experience.
Ozan Atalan who creates alternative perception areas in order to question the relationship between human and the world s/he lives in, opposes the limitlessness of legitimizing and rationalizing the destruction created by mankind as a result of the human-centric approach in his solo exhibition "Force Quit." While examining and critically approaching the capacity of transforming the nature that determines the limits of the fantasy world and the legitimacy of transformation; it presents human and nonhuman beings in coexistence through the concept of “transformation”.
*From September 12, you can visit the exhibition between 12.00 and 18.00, following the rules of social distance.
