More Than Two
26.10. 2018 - 01.12.2018
Since its founding, Mixer has aimed to make art accessible to a larger audience. In 2013, Mixer created Mixer Editions and started sharing with its audience a selection of artworks composed entirely of editions, each produced with different printing techniques. Because of its international quality, this selection of artworks achieved its purpose and the editions took their places in the homes and offices of many art collectors. The 'Printed' exhibition series was first shown in 2015 and every year since then, it has renewed its contents and has had the opportunity to meet with Mixer’s audience.
Jealous Print Studio & Gallery has been one of the most prominent partners of this exhibition series, which is brought to life in partnership with various printing studios from different countries that each work on unique printing techniques. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in September this year, Jealous Print Studio & Gallery has been an institution that has introduced artists in the UK to original printing techniques while supporting them during the production process. Jealous started out with a purpose similar to that of Mixer, and with this partnership, it has enabled its artists to be introduced to a Turkish audience.
Jealous was founded in 2008 in the Crouch End district of North London under the lead of Dario Illari and Jacquie Ryle. In addition to a printing atelier in Shoreditch, the studio has also two gallery spaces in Crouch End and Shoreditch. Jealous collaborates with artists from all over the world spaces, their experienced printers advising on various printing techniques and creating high quality limited editions with them. This selection, titled ‘More Than Two,’ features artworks produced in Jealous Print Studios. It can also be considered as a good overview of the 3-year collaboration between Mixer and Jealous. The exhibition will take place at Mixer between October 26th and December 1st.
