Video works to be exhibited in “Possibilities and Choices” group selection will build a dynamic set up within the Open Space that forms the basis for Mixer.
Video works included in this selection, will also reflect Mixer Open Space’s flexible character through a display that does not have a particular conceptual arrangement.
As Elif Boyner renders the moves directing the way we perceive our environments in a recycling center, Julie Nymann visualizes a process questioning the individual’s existence. Gif-formatted artworks of Berkay Buğdanoğlu in this selection, whose paintings on metal had been displayed in his solo exhibitions at Mixer before, address illustrative figures about current events. Lara Kahmi’s video installation produced over color and form, on the other hand, annexes a prismatic perception to Mixer’s Open Space area.
Group video selection “Possibilities and Choices” is a proposal to discover the language of video art and can be seen at Mixer Open Space between January 23rd and March 15th 2015, everyday except for Mondays.
